Bank of Africa Niger is a private bank engaged in the provision of a full range of commercial banking and a wide variety of financial products and services. The bank has its registered office in Niamey, Niger. It is part of the Bank of Africa Group, a multinational bank that primarily operates in Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Uganda.
The bank was created in 1994 and opened its doors for business in April. In December, it became the first Nigйrien company to be listed on the regional stock exchange, ‘Bourse rйgionale des valeurs mobiliиres’, which is based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The bank has a network of six agencies: three in Niamey, and one each in the regions of Agadez, Dosso and Maradi. Its services include a range of life insurance policies, solutions for financing problems, and financial engineering. Also, the bank offers foreign currency exchange. As well, it offers the possibility of withdrawing money with any VISA or Masters credit card, including Electron cards.
The bank aims to continue to expand both geographically and in terms of business scope in order to take advantage of the most favorable economic environments and seize the most attractive opportunities in the sector.
The bank works in partnership with some of its affiliates, including Association Professionnelle des Banques et Etablissements Financiers de Niger, Societe Nigerienne de Banque, Equipbail-Mali, Cauris Investissement SA and Groupe Banque Regionale de Solidarite SA.
