The Company’s original concept is based on the notion of « the freedom to choose one’s holiday and ‘а la carte’ services » and includes six brands: The Company , The company City, Maeva, Rйsidences MGM, Hфtels Latitudes and Center Parcs.
In 2005, The Group welcomed 6.4 million holidaymakers, 50% of which from France. The tourist residence portfolio includes 45,000 apartments and homes, or 210,000 beds.
The Company was listed on EURONEXT PARIS – Euronext – Compartiment B (Mid-caps) on Jun 14,1999 code isin : FR0000073041.
The Company was registered in the RCS on August 7, 1979 under the the number: 316 580 869 R.C.S. PARIS.
History:
1967: Gйrard Brйmond launches a new tourist resort concept in Avoriaz.
1970 to 1997: The concept takes shape and grows:
- properly and tourism expertise applied to other Alpine resorts and seaside resorts ;
- acquisition of companies and sites and expansion of the tourist business ;
- launch of the ‘Nouvelle Propriйtй’ scheme, under which private investors acquire the freehold of an apartment at a reduced cost, as VAT can be recovered and rent is prepaid.
1999 to 2003: The Compagny Group strengthens its position by making major acquisitions.
- 1999: Acquisition of Orion Vacances (20 residences).The Group’s initial public offering.
- 2000: Acquisitions of the Dutch Group Gran Dorado, the market leader in short-stay holiday villages in the Netherlands.
- 2001: Three major acquisitions:
. 50% stake in Center Parcs Europe (10 villages: 5 in the Netherlands, 2 in France, 2 in Belgium and 1 in Germany);
. full acquisition of Maeva Group, the second largest tourist residence operator in France (138 residences and hotels);
. takeover of the letting management company, ski-lift operator and property management company of the Valmorel mountain resort.
- 2002: Acquition of Rйsidences MGM, an operator specialised in Luxury holiday residences (12 residences).
- 2003: The compagny becomes sole owner of Center Parcs Europe.
2004-2005: The Compagny is now works in all segments of the holiday residence market and has embarked upon a new stage in its growth strategy.
- 2004: Acquisition by Center Parcs Europe of Butjadinger Kьste holiday village at Tossens in Germany. Gestrim partnership: an agreement to jointly develop, at Citйa, management of two-star city based residence management.
- 2005: Start of construction of new Center Parcs village, Domaine du Lac d’Ailette in France. Signing of partnership with WWF-France to implement an environmental progress policy. Opening of Bonavista – Bonmont in Catalogna, the first residence built by the compagny in Spain.
Implementation by the Group of a sizeable earnings growth programme, primarily focused on improving performances in the tourism businesses. Continued moves to expand and improve the quality of the tourism portfolio with the property business.

La Compagnie exerce deux activitйs complйmentaire:l’exploitation et la commercialisation de sйjours en Rйsidences Loisirs et le dйveloppement immobilier.
La Societe renouй avec croissance des bйnйfices en 2005/2006 par l’amйlioration des performances de ses activitйs touristiques et le dynamisme de son dйveloppement immobilier. Il poursuit ses dйveloppement en Europe, en particulier sous marque Center Parcs et sur le segment des rйsidences urbains.
Avec une structure de bilan renforcйe et aprиs trois annйes de consolidation, Le Groupe souhaite entrer dans une nouvelle phase de croissance externe.
